Ducati World Premiere 2020: What to expect?

Ducati's World Premieres are always special. Motorcyclists the world over wait with baited breath when the iconic Italian motorcycle manufacturer announces that it will showcase new motorcycles. And the Ducati World Premiere 2020 will be no different, as we know there's some interesting sets of wheels that will be unveiled to the world. That said, the highly anticipated Ducati Streetfighter V4 isn't the only motorcycle we're looking forward to. Here's everything we can expect the Italian manufacturer to showcase tomorrow.

The Ducati Streetfighter V4 could very well be the most powerful sport naked when unveiled officially

Ducati Streetfighter V4

The naked version of the Ducati Panigale V4, the Streetfighter V4 was supposed to create a new record at the 2019 Pikes Peak Hill Climb, but the tragic death of Carlin Dunne at the very fag end of the climb forced Ducati to ease off promotions. That said, the Streetfighter V4 is sure to be the showstopper tomorrow. Ducati had said the bike used at Pikes Peak was a prototype but it looked production ready and we're expecting the final version to look more or less the same when revealed. And given the specifications that are being leaked, we are expecting the Streetfighter V4's final spec sheet to send a chill down many a spine. If true, the bike will put out a stonking 208PS, which will make it the most powerful production sport naked yet. The Panigale V4 sourced V4 mill, Ducati's first V4 for a production motorcycle, has had us in awe of its manic performance and the same firepower in a much lighter and smaller motorcycle can only mean madness. We're also expecting top of the line Ohlins suspension and specially created Pirelli rubber at both ends.

The 959 Panigale could get some design changes and an updated engine for 2020

Ducati's 'super-mid' sportsbike has been around since 2016 now and we're expecting it to get some comprehensive updates for 2020, not to mention, Euro V compatibility. Test mules have been spotted in Europe, suggesting the smaller Panigale could get some cosmetic tweaks and an updated motor too.

Before the Multistrada V4 comes out in 2021, Ducati could launch a touring focused, GT version of the Multistrada 1260 for 2020

Ducati Multistrada 1260GT

Yes, the Ducati Multistrada V4 is confirmed, but only for 2021. So tomorrow, we're expecting Ducati to showcase a new version of the existing Multistrada 1260, which could merge the 1260's performance to even more comfortable ergonomics. The bike will thus focus even further on touring and is expected to come equipped with Ducati's latest tech, like a radar-guided cruise control system and more. Basically stuff that we can expect the Multistrada V4 and other future models will get.

For 2020, the Ducati 821 could get an updated engine

Ducati Monster 821

The updated Monster 821 was launched in India last year to meet BS IV emission norms, but the bike is due for an update internationally now. We are thus expecting Ducati to showcase the middleweight naked with an updated engine that will meet Euro V norms and could be slightly more powerful too. Apart from the 821, Ducati could also showcase the Monster 1200 that was updated recently, with a new paint scheme.

Ducati might launch newer versions of the Scrambler 1100 for 2020, equipped with different suspension setups

Ducati Scrambler 1100

The Scrambler 1100 hasn't really enjoyed the kind of success it deserves, in India at least. A larger version of the Scrambler, the 1100 is expected to get some serious tweaks for 2020 though. Ducati could unveil new versions of the Scrambler 1100 tomorrow, ones with updated suspension and some chassis tweaks as well, to take on its arch rival, the Triumph Scrambler 1200 better.
