Volkswagen MotorSport announced their choice of weapon for the 2012 Polo R Cup in India – the TSI Race Polo and also the 20 drivers who will be driving the car. In its third season now, the Polo R Cup had always had cars using diesel engines. The new 1.4-litre TSI motor produces a phenomenal 182PS of power at 6200rpm and 250Nm of torque between 2000-4500rpm as opposed to the 131PS that the 1.6-litre TDI makes. The petrol is mated to a 6-speed automatic twin-clutch DSG box.
