2013 Detroit Auto Show: Hyundai HCD-14 Genesis Concept
The new design language for the next-gen Hyundai Genesis has been unveiled by the Korean company through a preview of its concept car, the HCD-14 at the Detroit Auto Show 2013. It is expected that Hyundai will incorporate many of the design elements from the concept car to the production ready model minus the sleek carbon fiber wheels and of course the suicide doors. Hyundai may very well retain the Genesis etching on the headlamps though.
Inside the funky theme carries over with Hyundai installing a head-up display, handwriting gesture and an innovative technology which allows a driver or passenger to select various options from the vehicle's menu by just focusing their eyes on it. The chassis is said to be more rigid than before and drivers have an option of selecting various suspension settings depending on the road conditions. The Genesis V8 engine and 8-speed automatic transmission have been carried over.
