2013 Mahindra Bolero Flat Bed pick-up launched in India at Rs 5.45 lakh
Mahindra has announced sales of the refreshed Bolero pick-up at Rs 5.45 lakh ex-Mumbai. The refreshed pick-up comes with micro-hybrid technology, which is Mahindra's take on the stop-start system. Powering the new Bolero Flat Bed pickup is a tried and trusted 63PS/195Nm MDi engine, which Mahindra claims will deliver 13.86kmpl. Mahindra also says that the Bolero now has the biggest cargo box in its segment (2540mm X 1700mm X 650mm) which allows it to carry a rated payload of 1,250kg. The pick-up comes with a three years or unlimited kms warranty.
Primary among the exterior changes are new multi-reflector headlamps and a new paintjob. Inside, there are dual tone upholstery, bucket seats with slider and recliner. There is even a charging point and a mobile holder.
Speaking on the launch, Pravin Shah, chief executive, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. Automotive Division, said, "The Indian pick-up market is growing at a healthy rate and is also witnessing an evolution in customers' demands and behaviors. As leaders in the pick-up segment for over a decade, we have made it a business imperative to understand these changing needs and evolve our products accordingly. The new Bolero Pick-Up Flat Bed with more modern, macho and stylish looks and superior fuel efficiency is a step forward in this direction to deliver greater earning potential for our customers while retaining the basic tough and rugged DNA associated with Mahindra vehicles."
