2014 BMW 3 Series GT launched in Mumbai at Rs 42.75 lakh

BMW India launched the 3 Series GT in Mumbai in a grand affair at Infinity Cars. BMW have priced the 3 GT at Rs 42.75 lakh ex-Mumbai. The 3 GT is available only with a diesel engine. It's 184PS/380Nm 2.0-litre turbo diesel unit manages a 0-100kmph run in 8.5s (as tested). It returns an overall fuel efficiency of 16.1kmpl.

BMW has designed the 3 GT to be a niche car which settles between the 3 and 5 Series sedans. It looks similar to the 3 but has a bigger boot and has an 110mm longer wheelbase than the sedan. This extra wheelbase liberates lot of space inside the cabin which translates to knee room which is better than even the 5. The huge boot offer 520 litres of space.

BMW has given the 3 GT more features than you can get at this price point like frameless doors, electronic bootlid operation and a huge sunroof.
