2014 Citroen C1 UK prices and variants announced
Citroen which unveiled the new C1 at Geneva Motor Show have come out with the pricing and variants of the car. The new model will come in Touch, Feel and Flair trims and has three and five door versions. Sales will commence in the UK by July and the price will start from 8245 pounds (Rs 8,37,087) all the way to 11935 (Rs 12,11,720) pounds for the top of the line variant. The Airscape feature which has a foldable roof and allows for a wind in the hair experience is available only in the Feel and Flair trims.
The new C1 is available with a choice of three petrol engines. e-VTI68 Airdream engine featuring Stop/Start technology and mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and a VTi 68 engine with the option of a clutchless 5-speed Efficient Tronic Gearbox (ETG) or a five-speed manual tranny. The ETG gearbox claims to have optimized pedal mapping for enhanced drivability. The biggest engine on offer is a three cylinder VTi 82 from Citroen's PureTech family and it gets a five-speed manual transmission.
The car will have four metallic finishes with a total of eight exterior colours. Standard features include power steering, high frequency remote central locking, electric front windows, audio system with USB socket/mp3 compatibility and six airbags. A safe drive is ensured due to features such as ABS, EBA and EBS. The top trims get DAB digital radio, steering mounted controls, 7-inch touch interface, reverse camera and electrically heated and adjustable door mirrors. Optional equipment includes auto climate control, automatic headlights and keyless entry & start.
