2014 Fiat Punto Evo variants in India explained
Fiat India has just launched the new Punto Evo. The car is priced at a tempting Rs 4.55 lakh ex-Delhi which makes it a good 40,000 less than its predecessor. There are four variants on offer, within which there are seven trims to choose from. Let's take a look at all the Punto Evo trims.
Punto Evo Active
This is the basic trim and comes with 14-inch steel wheels (165/80 R14 tubeless) and wheel covers. There are turn indicators on the ORVMs, follow-me-home headlamps, rear fog lamps and body coloured bumpers. Inside the cabin, you get the dual tone dashboard, manual AC, power steering and front power windows. You also get a 12V power socket and central as well as auto locking with door open indicator. This variant is available in both the 1.2l petrol and 76PS diesel. No ABS or airbags available on this one.
Punto Evo Dynamic
The Punto Dynamic is the mid-level trim and apart from the features and engine options available with the Active, gets body coloured ORVMs and door handles. Inside, you get electrical controls for the mirrors, integrated music system with aux and USB inputs, rear power windows, boot lamp, fabric inserts on the door pads and height adjustment for the driver's seat. There is also the ABS with EBD in the safety features list.
Punto Evo Emotion
This is the top trim and has 15-inch diamond cut alloys with the tyre section as 195/60 R15. In addition to the features on the Dynamic, Fiat offers you chrome plated door handles, front fog lamps, leather wrapped steering wheel with music controls and the Blue&Me multimedia experience, rear defogger, wiper and washer. There are rear AC vents and automatic climate control. The ambient lighting makes the interiors more premium. On this trim, you also get front airbags. It is available with the 1.4 petrol and 76PS diesel engines.
Punto Evo 90HP Emotion or the Sport
This trim is available exclusively with the 93PS diesel and has 195/55 R16 alloys. It also gets a rear spoiler. Inside the cabin, the theme is all black instead of the dual tone found in the lesser trims.
