The Ford EcoSport S marks the return of Ford's famous EcoBoost 1.0, the three-cylinder, 1.0-litre, turbocharged petrol engine. The engine debuted in India when the Ford EcoSport was launched originally in 2013 and makes a comeback, this time paired to an all-new six-speed manual gearbox. The EcoSport S gets a few cosmetic tweaks as well, which though minor help the sub 4-metre SUV look more premium and upmarket. While the EcoSport S is based on the Titanium+ variant, Ford has also launched a limited edition variant, called the Signature Edition based on the Titanium variant. Here's a detailed image gallery to help you know more about these new, top of the line variants of the EcoSport.

Majority of the changes have been made to the front end - the Ford EcoSport S grille looks more appealing than the regular EcoSport's chromed unit as it wears a gloss black finish. The EcoSport S also comes equipped with HID headlights that get the popular 'smoked' treatment for the lens. The fog lamps are encased in a black housing that adds to the sportier appearance of the SUV

The Ford EcoSport S also gets a revised design for the 17-inch alloy wheels that look more appealing thanks to the new design and 'smoked silver' finish both

There is no change to the rear end, which means the Ford EcoSport S looks exactly like the regular EcoSport from behind

The EcoBoost badge is back! The 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbocharged engine remains unchanged though and offers 125PS and 170Nm in the Ford EcoSport S. Claimed fuel efficiency is 18.1kmpl and Ford is also claiming that CO2 emissions for the EcoBoost are 12 percent lower than conventional, four-cylinder petrol engines

One of the biggest highlights about the Ford EcoSport S is the addition of an electric sunroof, which is part of standard accessories considering the S is the range topping variant

The Ford EcoSport S also gets a reviser instrument cluster that integrates a new design for the tachometer and speedometer, along with a new, 4.2-inch multi-information display which also includes a tyre pressure monitor

The Ford EcoSport S gets the same 8.0-inch touchscreen display for the infotainment system, which also offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity

Ford has also launched a limited edition variant of the EcoSport called the Signature Edition with subtle differences as compared to the EcoSport S. The grille on the Signature gets a chrome surround and headlights do not get the smoked treatment either

The alloy wheels on the Ford EcoSport Signature Edition are different as well and look as appealing as the wheels on the EcoSport S, if not better
