2018 Hyundai Santro: Launch image gallery
Hyundai has launched its most anticipated product in recent years, the all-new Santro, with prices starting from Rs 3.89 lakh, ex-showroom. The Santro is only available with a petrol engine (a factory CNG variant is available), mated to a 5-speed manual or new 5-speed AMT gearbox. You can read a detailed breakdown of variants here. Twenty years on, the Santro has moved on from its tall-boy stance, with styling erring on the conservative side. With a new platform underpinning it, its dimensions of 3,610mm length, 1,645mm width and 1,560mm height conceal a respectable 2,400mm wheelbase. Legroom, kneeroom, headroom and shoulder room in the new Santro are among the highest in its class, which includes the Tata Tiago, Renault Kwid and Maruti-Suzuki Celerio. For our first impressions of the all-new Santro, head here.
Seven exterior paint options including silver, grey, beige, white, blue, red and green
Dimensions of 3,610mm length, 1,645mm width and 1,560mm height, and a 2,400mm wheelbase means more room in the cabin in a compact footprint
The new Santro is powered by a 1.1-litre, four-cylinder motor producing 69PS and 99Nm (petrol), 59PS and 84Nm (CNG). ARAI rated fuel efficiency figures are 20.3kmpl (petrol-manual) and 30.5km on a kg of CNG
No alloy wheels here, though the 14-inch wheels get these wheel caps. Top-spec Sportz and Asta trims get 165/70/R14 sized rubber. Lower variants feature 13-inch wheels with 155/80 tyres
All variants get a dual-tone beige and black cabin, though higher variants get an option of green highlights
Surprisingly for the segment, all variants feature a tachometer in the instrumentation, along with a 2.5-inch multi-information display
Top-spec trim features 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system (supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto & MirrorLink) as well as rear parking sensors with reversing camera
Top-spec variant gets a second passenger side airbag, while all other variants come with a single airbag as standard. ABS, EBD and a driver's seatbelt reminder are also standard
Centrally mounted switches for all four power-windows, available from Magna variants onwards
Rear AC vents a segment-first, available from Era variant onwards
