2019 Ford Endeavour launched in India at Rs 28.19 lakh

Ford has officially launched the 2019 Endeavour at an introductory price of Rs 28.19 lakh. Ford's flagship SUV has been upgraded with features and cosmetics as a part of its mid-life update.

In the updated feature list of the 2019 Ford Endeavor are a push-button start, dual-zone climate control, eight-way power adjustable front seats and a hands-free powered tailgate. Esthetically the SUV now gets a restyled grille and newly designed alloy wheels. Diffused Silver has been added to choose from a total of five colour options.

The updated SUV is offered with two engine options and a choice of manual or an automatic gearbox. The manufacturer has replaced the base trim (Trend) with the Titanium trim offering a 2.2-litre diesel engine and a six-speed manual gearbox in a rear wheel drive layout. The base trim (Titanium) has been priced at Rs 28.19 lakh ex-showroom pan India. The Titanium variant offers features like six airbags, hill launch assist, cruise control, automatic headlamps, rearview camera with parking guidelines, tyre pressure monitoring system as standard.

The Titainium+ trim is positioned above the base trim and offers the same 2.2-litre diesel engine with a six-speed automatic gearbox. The Titainium+ is equipped with an extra knee airbag for the driver, front parking sensors, inner electrochromic rearview mirror and hill descent control over the Titanium variant and is priced at Rs 30.60 lakh ex-showroom pan India. The Titainium+ with a 2.2-litre engine and an Automatic gearbox is cheaper by Rs 47,000 than its predecessor.

The top trim is the Titainium+ equipped with a 3.2-litre diesel engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission and is offered with a four-wheel drive drivetrain as standard. It is priced at Rs 32.97 lakh which is cheaper than its predecessor by Rs 34,000.

The 2019 Ford Endeavour competes with the Toyota Fortuner and undercuts its price by Rs 31,000 in their respective highest trims. The Ford Endeavour also shares the market space with the Mahindra Alturas G4, Isuzu MU-X, Mitsubishi Pajero, Honda CR-V and the Skoda Kodiaq.
