2019 Nissan Kicks diesel now available in base XE trim at Rs 9.89 lakh

Nissan India has revamped the variant mix for its newest product, the Nissan Kicks SUV. The diesel version of the Kicks is now also available in the base XE variant at Rs 9.89 lakh, ex-showroom. This is upto Rs 1.2 lakh cheaper than the previous base variant for the diesel, the XL.

Further to this, all the variants have seen a revision to the features being offered in them. The new base XE trim gets automatic climate control, rear AC vents, a 2-DIN audio system with Bluetooth connectivity, a cooled glovebox and dual front airbags. These were features earlier being offered on the XL variant.

The XL variant itself is now Rs 24,000 more expensive at Rs 11.09 lakh but gets more equipment in the form 0f 17-inch alloy wheels, front fog lamps, roof-rails, steering-mounted audio controls, an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a rear-view camera, an Eco driving mode and traction and electronic stability control.

The mid-spec XV trim now costs Rs 12.51 lakh, a Rs 3,000 hike. New features added to this version are keyless entry, push-button start, LED projector headlamps, cruise control, hill-start assist, a six-speaker audio system and electrically adjustable/ foldable outer mirrors. The previous XV Premium Option top-spec variant has been done away with. Its features have now een absorbed into the XV Premium variant priced at Rs 13.69 lakh. This makes it almost a lakh cheaper and gets you a dual-tone black and brown interior theme, leather seats and leather dashboard inlays, a 360-degree camera, automatic headlamps with cornering front fog lamps, rains sensing wipers, rear fog lamp and side airbags.

The 1,461cc diesel K9K diesel in these variants makes 110PS at 3,850rpm and 240Nm at 1,750rpm mated to a six-speed manual. A 1,498cc petrol is also available which produces 106PS at 5,600rpm and 142Nm at 4,000rpm, but paired with a five-speed manual instead.
