2020 Audi A3 Sportback unveiled

The New 2020 Audi A3 Sportback breaks cover. It is the fourth-generation model of the Audi A3. The infotainment, driver-assist system and suspension is borrowed from the full-size class.



The A3 comes with subtle and sporty design cues. At the front there are air inlets and the honeycomb design with the proud Audi badging. The shoulder line is seamless from the headlight to the tail section. The DRL is of matrix LEDs which are put together in a three by five setup which makes a visible pattern in the headlamp. It sets the A3 Sportback apart from the rest. On the inside there is a new shifter, carbon or aluminium inlays, black instrument panel and seat upholstery made of PET bottles for the first time.


The centre of the dashboard holds a 10.1-inch touch display, it recognizes letters by hand and also gives acoustic feedback. The driver gets a digital instrument cluster behind the multifunction steering wheel. There is an offer of a bigger display which is 12.3 inches and has three different views and heads-up display which can be installed on request.  The car also gets an integrated Wi-Fi hotspot and all its connected functions are done by LTE advanced speed. A DAB+ digital radio is standard and a hybrid radio option is also available. There is a car-to-X feature that finds free parking spots for you. The car is connected with myAudi app, Android Auto and Apple Carplay and the Audi phone box. The app helps the user to control the car with their smartphone, like lock and unlock the car, start the engine.  The car will soon feature Alexa as well.



The car is launched with a choice of three different engine options, a 1.5 TFSI engine with 150PS of power and a 2.0 TDI engine that puts out 116PS of power or 150PS of power. The initial phase of cars will have a FWD and there will be a choice of a six-speed manual transmission or the quick-shifting seven-speed S-tronic. Audi will explore further with the engine options and include electric drivetrain with quattro.

The car is launched at a price of 28,900 euros which comes around Rs. 23.52 lakh and there is a special edition model that has exclusive features like matt platinum grey and darkened Matrix LED headlights, 18-inch wheels in titanium grey.
