2020 Hyundai Verna launched in India: Variants explained

Hyundai India has updated one of its most popular offerings in the country, the Verna priced at Rs 9.31 lakh. The midsized sedan has received a design tweak which makes it sharper than before along with additional features to make it better kitted than its predecessors, and also its rivals in the country. The engine options too have been revised as the Verna is now offered with one diesel and two petrol engines, which are BSVI compliant. With all of these additions, the Hyundai Verna has become better equipped to take on the Honda City and the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz. The 2020 Hyundai Verna is being offered in these variants - S/S+, SX and SX(O). Here's a detailed breakdown of all the features offered in the different variants.

S/S+: Rs. 9.30 lakh, ex-showroom onward

The base variant of the Hyundai Verna comes equipped with features like driver and passenger airbag, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, speed sensing auto door lock, foldable key, engine immobiliser, ISOFIX mounts, dual tone beige and black interior, 20.32cm touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Arkamys Premium Sound and BT connectivity, rear AC vents, USB charging ports in the front and at the rear and 12V power outlet.

SX: Rs 10.70 lakh, ex-showroom onward

Positioned above the base variant, the SX trim of the 2020 Verna comes with a rear camera with dynamic guidelines, auto headlights, smart key, rear defogger with timer, projector headlamps, cornering lamps and LED DRL and positioning lamps, R16 grey alloys, leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, digital cluster with 10.67cm Colour TFT MID, electric sunroof, smart trunk, push button start/stop, automatic climate control, wireless phone charger, cruise control and electrically folding ORVMs.

SX(O): Rs 12.59 lakh, ex-showroom, onward

The top-of-the-line variant of the 2020 Verna is the SX(O) that comes with features like side and curtain airbag, electronic stability control, hill start assist, front parking sensors, tyre pressure monitoring system, burglar alarm, LED headlights, R16 Diamond cut alloys, leather seat upholstery, Hyundai BlueLink Connected Car tech and front ventilated seats.
