2020 Maruti Suzuki S-Cross petrol: Prices and Variants explained
Maruti Suzuki has recently launched the BSVI-compliant iteration of the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross crossover. With this switch, the S-Cross moves from a diesel-only to a petrol-only line-up. An automatic gearbox option is available for the first time as well.
Given Maruti Suzuki's move to a petrol-only line-up in the BSVI-era, the S-Cross' engine is now the 1.5-litre K15B petrol motor, with a claimed fuel efficiency of 18.55kmpl for the manual variant, and 18.43kmpl for the automatic. The SHVS mild-hybrid system has been paired with this too, this facilitates idle stop/start, brake energy regeneration and torque assiat during acceleration. This 1.5-litre unit is the same as the one on the facelifted Vitara Brezza, Ertiga, XL6 and Ciaz, putting out 105PS and 138Nm torque. Aside from a five-speed manual, a four-speed automatic is being offered for the first time in the S-Cross.
