2020 Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza prices and variants explained

Having made its debut at the Auto Expo 2020, the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza facelift has now been launched in India. The Vitara Brezza has been the largest selling sub-four-metre SUV in India for most of the time that it has been on the market since 2016. Although recently, newer rivals have seen better sales success.

The facelift is meant to remedy this and Maruti Suzuki has made quite a few changes to ensure this happens. The biggest of these changes is the new BSVI-compliant petrol motor, replacing the earlier diesel engine. This is in line with the brand's decision to move away from diesel engines in the BSVI era. The engine is the K15B 1.5-litre four-cylinder as seen in the Ciaz and Ertiga. This motor makes 105PS and 138Nm torque and gets the Smart Hybrid tech to go with it. The motor is paired with either a five-speed manual or four-speed auto. The fuel efficiency of the manual is 17.03 kmpl and AT (automatic with Maruti's smart hybrid) is 18.76 kmpl.
