50,000 bookings for Renault Kwid in India

Over 50,000 bookings for the Renault Kwid have been reported to be registered since its launch on September 24, 2015. Renault'sentry-level hatchback and contender to the Hyundai Eon and Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 is powered by a799cc 3-cylinder DOHC motor producing 54PS/74Nm. With a claimed fuel efficiency of 25.17kmpl, which makes it the most fuel efficient petrol car in Indiaand a price ofRs 2.56 lakh (ex-Delhi) for the base trim, the car makes a compelling case for itself and from the figures reported, the Indian customers seem to warming up to it.

Renault had also launched the Kwid app to allow prospective customers to book the car ortake a 'virtual tour' to get a preview of its features and cabin. Deliveries have already started and the production is in a full swing to ensure faster deliveries, says Renault. Currently, there are 180 sales and service outlets and Renault is expected to launch 100 more outlets by 2016.

Renault KWID was launched on 24th September 2015 at an outstanding price offering of Rs. 2,56,968 (ex- showroom Delhi), and is India's most fuel efficient petrol vehicle delivering mileage of 25.17 kmpl*. Together with the superior mileage, Renault India has taken the localisation level to 98%,which has positively influenced the overall cost of ownership. Renault India is also substantially increasing its sales and service network reach in India, with an extensive network of dealers covering over 80% of the country. This fast-expanding network increased from 14 sales and service facilities in mid-2011 to 180 currently, and will reach 280 sales and service facilities by next year.
