Audi designer moves up the ladder

Stefan Sielaff, responsible for the design theme of recent Audis (he is credited with the e-tron showcars as well as the current A8, A6 and more) is moving within the VW Group to head the advanced design studio at Potsdam, near Berlin, and will also have responsibility for interior design across VW brands. Sielaff, 49, has been head of design for Audi since 2006. Wolfgang Egger, the head of Audi Group Design (which includes Lamborghini and luxury products) will also become operational head of Audi brand design. The Potsdam studio designed the XL1, the world's most economical combustion-engined car.
