Audi India records sale of 10,851 units in 2014

Audi India has managed to maintain its lead in the luxury car segment by superseding its sales record from the last year. After having crossed the 10,000 units mark, the German manufacturer now reports a sale of 10,851 units for the year 2014. In addition, the company also recorded its best ever sales for a quarter at 3,044 units, from October to December 2014.

Audi started the year 2014 on an aggressive note, clearly intending to further cement its position in the Indian luxury car market. Starting with the most powerful Audi, the RS7, the company launched the matrix headlights equipped A8, the entry level A3 sedan, the Dynamic edition of its popular Q3 model, and by the end of the year it launched the A3 Cabriolet.

With a diverse portfolio of cars, Audi says, it has managed to cater to customers at every possible price point and with the help of a solid aftersales network, managed to stay on top of its competitors.

Heavy demand which far outstripped supply, enabled Audi India to achieve a stellar sales performance in the last quarter (October to December 2014) with a sale of 3044 units registering a growth of 17 percent (October to December 2013:2611) - highest ever sales in a quarter in India.
