Audi RS7 Dynamic Edition to debut at New York Auto Show
Audi will debut an exclusive edition of its super sedan- the RS7, today at the New York International Auto Show. The RS7 dynamic edition features interiors stitched in Crimson Red and carbon fibre on the exterior. The car is offered with a hefty starting price tag of 1,46,045 dollars (Rs 88,03,592). The first of these cars are expected to hit showrooms by the month of June.
Dynamic edition gets tornado red brake calipers and 21-inch five-spoke alloys
From the exterior the Dynamic Edition can be identified instantly by the tornado red brake calipers and 21-inch gloss black five-spoke alloy wheels. Carbon fibre shows its presence on the front splitter, rear diffuser and engine cover. There are four exterior colours customers can choose to drape this RS7 in, they are ibis white, phantom black pearl, daytona gray pearl and suzuka gray metallic.
Carbon fibre inlays spread across the cockpit add to the sense of sportiness.
Black Valcona leather seats welcome you inside with crimson red stitching seen laid out on them in a honeycomb design pattern. Engine powering this beast is a 4.0litre, TFSI V8 motor which produces 568PS of power and a tyre shredding torque of 699Nm. The transmission is an eight speed automatic gearbox and power delivery is done through Audi's all-wheel drive Quattro system.
The 0-100kmph sprint is achieved in 3.7seconds.
The result of all this power and grip is a 0-100kmph time of 3.7seconds. The RS7 also gets cylinder deactivation technology and due to this fuel efficiency is a claimed 8.08kmpl. Driving performance is enhanced by the use of Dynamic Ride Control (DRC) suspension and Dynamic steering which adapts to the steering boost and gives precise handling.

The Black Valcona leather seats have the RS specific honeycomb stitch in Crimson Red matching the safety belts of the same color. Additional Crimson Red stitching can be found on the dashboard, gear shifter boot, center and door armrests as well as along the center console. The Crimson Red accents combine with the carbon fiber inlays to further amplify the performance character of the Audi exclusive RS 7 dynamic edition. The exterior is highlighted by Tornado Red brake calipers with RS 7 logo and 21-inch Gloss Black wheels. Carbon fiber splitter, diffuser and carbon fiber engine cover further underline the performance character of the exclusive RS 7. Four exterior colors are available to complement the exclusive design elements: Ibis White, Suzuka Gray metallic, Daytona Gray pearl, Phantom Black pearl. The DRC system utilizes three-stage adjustable dampers that are hydraulically cross-linked and integrated into the Audi drive select system along with the standard rear sport differential for maximum performance driving. Dynamic steering adapts the steering boost and ratio to allow for more precise handling. The epitome of aesthetic design, innovative technology and track-tested performance, the five-door coupe is fitted with the twin-turbo 4.0 Liter TFSI® V8 engine, producing an astounding 560 hp that launches the RS 7 from 0-60 mph in just 3.7 seconds. At low to medium loads and engine speeds with its innovative cylinder on demand technology the RS 7 deactivates cylinders 2, 3, 5 and 8 by closing their valves via electromechanical actuators. The 4.0 Liter TFSI engine runs in four-cylinder mode, providing up to 15% better fuel efficiency, while the active engine mounts remove any changes in vibration between eight and four-cylinder modes. Innovative solutions such as thermal management and cylinder on demand enable the RS 7 to achieve a respectable EPA estimated MPG of 16 city/27 highway/19 combined.
