There is so much happening in the world of automobiles. From the launch and first ride of the Ducati Scrambler 1100, Royal Enfield Classic 350 Pegasus to the Formula 1 Italian Grand Price as well as upcoming events and launches, there is much for you to know, see, do. OVERDRIVE helps you stay up to speed with this quick rundown of all things automotive happening from August 27 to September 2, 2018:

Aug 27: Ducati Scrambler 1100 launch

The Ducati Scrambler 1100 is the flagship model in the Scrambler family and is bigger, more powerful and also gets more rider aids

Event type: Product launch

Location: India

What is it?
The Ducati Scrambler 1100 is the flagship of the Scrambler family globally. Ducati India has launched three versions of the bike in India ? the Scrambler 1100, Special, and Sport. To help distinguish it, the Scrambler 1100 gets a differently styled headlamp unit, twin underseat exhausts, and a slightly differently designed fuel tank, and the exhausts particularly make for a more muscular stance. We will be riding the Scrambler 1100 this week, so stay tuned for the first ride review.

Aug 28: Royal Enfield Classic 350 Pegasus launch

Event type: Product launch

Location: Pune

What is it?
Royal Enfield has stated that its event on August 28 will be an ode to the armed forces and the motorcycle it inspired. Sources have told OVERDRIVE that the company is planning to launch the Royal Enfield Classic 350 Pegasus, possibly in limited numbers like its 500cc sibling. It will also be offered in two new matte paint options, this time a Blue and a Sand Brown. The Royal Enfield Classic 350 Pegasus is likely to be priced Rs 20-25,000 over the stock Classic 350. Since this motorcycle is a tribute to the Indian armed forces, it will sport shades of the Indian Tricolour with a serial number stencilled on the tank.

Aug 31-Sep 2: Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix

Event type: Product launch

Location: Autodromo Nazionale Monza, Italy

What is it?

It's not over till it's over is a saying oft used in Motorsport. And even while people seemed to believe that Vettel's crash at the German GP was a sign of the 2018 championship title swinging Hamilton's way, things changed at the Belgian GP. Victory at Spa has ensured that the Ferrari driver has now begun chipping away at his Mercedes rival's lead in the points standings. If things go well for Vettel this coming weekend at Monza, Ferrari's home turf, the championship battle will get even closer. 53 laps at the track that needs both speed and deftness from the drivers. It's going to be an exciting race weekend!

Can I go?
Yes, you can. There is a championship battle at hand and Monza is rich in history from the neo-classical architecture, its 16th-century bell tower and even the long history of the race track. The weather will be pleasant with some rain showers expected over the weekend. No better time to club a classic Italian holiday with watching an F1 race over the weekend! Details here.

Upcoming events:
Sep 3: Mahindra Marazzo MPV launch

Event type: Product launch

Location: Pune

What is it?
The Mahindra Marazzo MPV will primarily rival the Toyota Innova Crysta as the company has dropped strong hints of the same. We believe Mahindra will price this one competitively where the base variants of the MPV will compete with the top-spec variants of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga in India. The Mahindra Marazzo gets a shark-inspired design. The Marazzo has been developed by the Mahindra's North American Technical Centre (MNATC) in Troy, Michigan, and will be the first vehicle to be designed here.
