Bajaj unveils new Discover 125 Sports Tourer
Bajaj Auto has unveiled the new Discover 125 Sports Tourer in the Indian market. The new Discover has a 125cc, 4-valve, air-cooled, twin spark carburetted engine which makes a maximum power of 13PS and 10.8Nm of torque. It is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Bajaj claims that the Discover 125 ST with its kerb weight of 124.5kg will hit a realistic top speed of 105kmph. Another big change in the Discover, apart from its styling and engine, is a mono-shock suspension at the rear â" a first for 125cc segment and only the second Bajaj after the 200NS.
The Bajaj 125 ST has a 200mm petal disc in the front and 130mm drum at the rear. The ST sports a chiselled muscular 10-litre fuel tank and interesting looking alloy wheels with aluminium foot pegs and mounts. The bike will be available in both kick and electric start versions. Bajaj are currently tight-lipped about the prices of the new Discover and will only reveal them at the launch â" which is next month.
