Coronavirus impact: Flipkart teams up with Meru to deliver daily essentials to people

Flipkart has joined hands with Meru to provide people access to grocery and essentials at the comfort of their homes during the nationwide lockdown caused by Coronavirus pandemic. The initiative will be conducted by safe & sanitized supply chain in Bengaluru, Delhi NCR and Hyderabad.

This will further help in containing the spread of the COVID-19 virus and assist government efforts to keep people at their homes during these unprecedented times. And it will also keep the essential supply chains functional while supporting driver-partners with income.

Meru is dispatching its ozone sanitized fleet for delivering essentials. The dispatch hubs have been installed with an air purifier and the driver-partners will go through a training module set up by Flipkart for a better understanding of how to deliver the goods and essentials safely. Meru is also educating its driver-partners about the importance of preventive measures that include wearing a mask and use of sanitizers to contain the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic.
