Ducati opens Brazilian subsidiary
Ducati has announced that it will open a wholly-owned subsidiary in Brazil. This move comes after the current importers, Izzo group, shut shop. The new subsidiary, Ducati do Brasil Indústria e Comrcio de Motocicletas Ltda will be solely responsible for distribution of Ducati motorcycles in Brazil. Ricardo Susini has been appointed as the new managing director while Marco Truzzi will handle the service and after sales aspect.CKD assembly of the motorcycles will be done at the Manaus plant in a few weeks in association with DAFRA da Amazônia Indústria e Comrcio de Motocicletas Ltda in Brazil. This subsidiary is looking to cater to the local Brazilian market though the company is currently tight-lipped about the price tag question and if CKD assembly will produce any benefits to the customer in terms of lower prices.R
