Fiat launches Absolute editions of Punto and Linea in India

Fiat has just reiterated that the festivities are not over yet. As a celebration of the festive season, the company has launched the limited 'Absolute' editions for the Punto hatch and the Linea sedan in India.

The 'Absolute' editions come with an accessory pack at no extra cost. It looks to provide customers with further value for money propositions and also give them a chance to own a product of exclusivity. These editions get additional goodies and features to set it apart from the regular models.

The Absolute edition of Linea and Punto come with a touch screen GPS navigator with 3G tablet & smartphone functionality, reverse parking sensors, Linea and Punto branded door sill, contoured splash guards, carpets, boot chrome strip & 'Absolute' badging. Mechanicals remain the same with a 1.2-litre/1.4-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel engine doing duty under the hood.

The touch screen GPS Navigator & 3G tablet are powered by a 1.0-Ghz processor and runs on Android Gingerbread software. Along with phone functionality, they also offer Bluetooth and multimedia.

Apart from a range of accessories, the company is also offering free road-side assistance and exchange bonuses to the tune of up to Rs 70,000 on the Linea and Rs 60,000 on the Punto. The Fiat Linea starts as Rs 7.12 lakh and the Fiat Punto starts at Rs 5.03 lakh (both ex-showroom, Delhi). The newly launched Linea Classic though has been exempted from this benevolence.
