First round of the 2015 FMSCI INMRC begins June 6, 2015
Round One of the 2015 FMSCI Indian National Motorcycling Racing Championship is scheduled to begin June 6, 2015. Over 100 racers will participate in the races held at the Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore.
The first round will comprise of three classes - Group D (unmodified) up to 130cc and 165cc, respectively, for riders in the Novice Category and Group C (limited modification) up to 165cc for riders in the Open Category.
The rules state that a rider can only participate in one class. This regulation has been made to ensure that each class has a separate champion.
Several one make series' will also be held alongside the INMRC. Apart from Yamaha , Honda and TVS who've been conducting their own championships, Suzuki will now debut the Gixxer Cup Series this year. Racers cannot participate in more than one of these one make series'.
Riders with prior experience or those who have attended a professional racing programme are eligible for participation.

| Coimbatore: Over 100 riders will compete in the MMSC FMSCI Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship which kick-starts here on Saturday with Rolon Chains and Sprockets sponsoring the first round to be run at the Kari Motor Speedway on the outskirts of the city. The first round of the championship comprises three classes Group D (unmodified) up to 130cc for Novice riders, Group D up to 165cc for Novice riders and Group C (limited modification) up to 165cc for Open riders. To spread the sport and encourage young talent, riders can take part in only one group / class of race so that there will be a new champion in every class. Likewise, any rider is allowed to take part in only one One Make Championship apart from the National Championship. Thus, when the other One Make Series like the Honda, Yamaha and TVS restart from the next round, there will be fresh crop of riders in various championships. Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. is the new entrant in the One Make Championship with the Suzuki Gixxer Cup 2015 which will feature two categories, Novice for new riders and Open for experienced racers. The Suzuki Gixxer Cup will have special, race prepared Suzuki Gixxer SF 150cc, the latest addition to their stable. The Gixxer is the most awarded motorcycle in India in 2015. To improve the safety and quality of the championships, all riders should have taken part in any race earlier or attended a professional racing programme. | |
