Ford Aspire Blu Edition launched in India at Rs 7.50 lakh
Ford India has launched the Aspire Blue Edition in the country, priced at Rs 7.50 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. While that is the price of the petrol model, the diesel option will be available for Rs 8.30 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. Similar to what is already on offer in the Ford Figo hatchback, the Blu Edition Aspire gets cosmetic updates and is based on the Titanium trim of the sedan. Ford dealerships have already started accepting booking for the new sedan while the deliveries across the country are expected to commence shortly.
In terms of design, the Ford Aspire Blu Edition comes with a blackened grill, blue inserts on the front bumper, blackened 15-inch alloy wheels, sporty decals on the side and rear along with blue detailing in the cabin, which are essentially blue strokes on the door trims. Additionally, it also gets a leather-wrapped steering, push-button start/stop, rear parking sensors, USB slots, satellite navigation, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth and CarPlay connectivity, rear-view camera, remote central locking, automatic air-conditioner and power windows. The Aspire Blu Edition is available in three color choices Moondust Silver, Smoke Grey and Oxford White. In terms of safety, the sedan comes with dual airbags as standard, anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brake-force distribution (EBD).
The Ford Aspire Blu Edition petrol is powered by a 1,194cc engine that makes 96PS at 6,500rp, and generates 120Nm at 4,250rpm mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The diesel model makes use of 1,498cc that produces 100PS at 3,750rpm and churns out 215PS at 1,750-3,000rpm which is paired to a 5-speed manual transmission. Ford claims the overall fuel efficiency of the diesel model is 26.1kmpl while that of the petrol is 19.4kmpl.
