Hero MotoCorp launches updated Super Splendor in India at Rs 53,735

Hero MotoCorp has launched the updated Super Splendor in India at Rs 53,735 (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The Splendor range has been a very popular brand name with Indian customers and the range comprises some of the best sellers for the company, reaping in huge profits.

The new Hero Super Splendor is powered by a single cylinder, four-stroke, air-cooled 124.7cc engine which generates 9.12PS of power and 10.35Nm of peak torque. The gearbox is a four-speed constant mesh and Hero claims a top speed of 90kmph. The frame is a tubular double cradle type with telescopic hydraulic shocks at the front and swing arm with five-step adjustable shock absorbers at the rear. Stopping power is provided by 130mm drum brakes at both the front and rear wheels. This time, the Super Splendor does not get the optional front disc brake which was available in the previous version. The bike tips the scales at 121kgs. The Super Splendor features dimensions of 1995mm, 735mm, and 1095mm for length, breadth and height respectively.

The updated Super Splendor gets new body graphics, black alloy wheels and colour schemes. A new and useful feature in this model is the side stand indicator which warns the rider if the stand has not been put up properly.

Hero has updated the Super Splendor to keep it in tune with the times and also to provide a boost to its sales figures.
