Hyundai i20 Active launched in India with prices starting at Rs 6.38 lakh

The i20 Active, a crossover styled vehicle based on the Elite i20, has been launched in India at prices (ex-showroom Delhi) starting at Rs 6.38 lakh for the petrol variants and Rs 7.63 lakh for the diesel options. The i20 Active boasts a higher ground clearance, a more rugged bodywork and retuned 1.2-litre petrol and the 1.4-litre diesel engines. It gets mildly spruced up interiors as well, but the equipment list remains largely similar to the Elite i20. Hyundai has also introduced new colour options with the i20 Active viz. brown, black and grey. Its natural rivals are the Etios Cross, the Cross Polo and the Fiat Avventura and is priced competitively against this crop. Unlike the Elite i20, which comes in Era, Magna, Sports, Sports O and Asta trims, the i20 Active is available in Base, S and SX trims like the Verna.
