The latest edition to Harley-Davidson's Sportster line-up comes is the new Roadster. Positioned towards the higher end of the range, the Roadster comes under Harley's Dark Custom genre which means it gets lots of blacked out bits and less chrome. It uses a 1,200cc engine that is shared with the 1200 Custom but makes 6Nm more torque for a total of 103Nm. Click here to read more about the Roadster or scroll down for more images
The talking point with the Roadster is its 43mm inverted front forks and dual disc brakes. ABS is offered as an option overseas
Dark Custom treatment means little of this motorcycle is chromed out, instead making for a mean black treatment
The stripped away racy look comes via short fenders, a low handlebar and the scooped out seat
New rear suspension has a preload adjust screw
Contoured seat looks invitingly comfortable as well as super supportive under hard acceleration
Unlike most Harley's the chrome detailing around the engine and airbox is quite restrained
Reversing the concept from the 1200 Custom, the tachometer is analogue while the speed readout is digital
The 'walnut' tank keeps with the slim profile but offers a more usable 12.5-litre fuel tank than the tiny 'peanut' tank from the Forty-Eight
The Roadster offers slightly more cornering clearance than the Custom 1200 but will still be limited in the bends
The footpegs aren' tvery forward set which produces a more sporty riding position
Starts Rs 11,08,000
