Lexus India launched its flagship SUV the 2018 Lexus LX 570 in the country yesterday, May 21. The LX 570 is priced at Rs 2.32 crore (ex-showroom), the same as its diesel counterpart, the Lexus LX 450d which was launched in India earlier. The LX series SUV are luxury vehicles based on the popular Toyota Land Cruiser model from its parent company. The LX 570 is a behemoth that accommodates eight in comfort with its three rows of seating. A powerful V8 petrol engine, four-wheel drive, and handcrafted luxury mean this SUV will keep going. Bookings for the luxury SUV have begun from today. It is available in seven paint options, with five leather trim options, and two wood trim insert options.

The Lexus LX 570 comes powered by a 5.7-litre V8 petrol engine, which produces 367PS and 530Nm. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission

The power and four-wheel drive system with five drive modes combine to propel this large SUV to 100kmph in 7.7 seconds

The frame is designed to separate the suspension from the bodyshell, helping to prevent noise and vibration from entering the cabin of the Lexus LX 570

The Lexus LX 570 also receives 4 Wheel Active Height Control and Adaptive Variable Suspension, with a ground clearance of 225mm

A 5-speed Crawl Control ensures that the driver focuses on steering the LX 570, while the vehicle propels each wheel as per the traction needs of any terrain'

The LX 570 sports the company's L-finesse design language. This includes signature elements such as the spindle front grille, L-shaped Triple LED headlights. All of this combines to help it hide its 3,400kg mass well too

Inside it is semi-aniline leather interiors in 5 trim options with ambient illumination. The seats are all handcrafted by skilled Takumi craftsmen

Entertainment is taken care of by two 11.6-inch displays for the rear-seat passengers. And the sound system is 19-speaker Mark Levinson home-theatre surround sound setup
