Mahindra has launched the updated XUV500 in India at Rs 12.32 lakh, ex-showroom. The updated version gets a host of cosmetic updates and additional features which, according to Mahindra, has made the SUV a lot more premium than before. Importantly, the 2.2-litre motor in the Mahindra XUV500 now makes more power and torque at 155Ps and 360nm, up from 140PS/330Nn. In addition, the new Mahindra XUV500 also gets a 2.2-litre 140PS petrol motor. The diesel variants are offered with a 6-speed manual transmission whereas the petrol gets a 6-speed automatic. While the former should be suitable for those who seek long distance touring, the petrol variant should be ideal for those who primarily commute in the city. We will get a better understanding of this when we review the 2018 Mahindra XUV500. More about the 2018 Mahindra XUV500 in the detailed image gallery below.
