The Aprilia SR150 promises to be one of the most exciting scooters India has ever experienced. It offers new levels of performance, handling and style for a sensational introductory price of just Rs 65,000. The Aprilia shares the same 11.6PS/11.5Nm 154.4cc three valve engine from the Vespa 150 but uses a different chassis. Head over to our comprehensive review of the new Aprilia here or scroll down for all the details that make this the sportiest scooter in India
The Aprilia SR 150 is the sportiest looking scooter in India and it definitely stands out
The rear section is sharp, angular and unique
The SR 150 gets DC lighting and dual 35/35w bulbs, one for low and one for high beam. Both do not turn on simultaneously but illumination at night is good for a scooter
The SR 150 has very few extrusions in its design. The footpegs neatly fold away into the bodywork and even the front brake reservoir is neatly incorporated in the cowl
Switchgear quality is up to the mark and ergonomic as well. A parking lamp and pass light are offered but there is no parking brake lock clasp
The speedo console is a simple affair with a fuel gauge and odometer
Boot space is decent but the seat will not close over a premium full face lid. The fuel cap is also situated under the seat
The 220mm front disc offers strong performance with good progression. Used in conjunction with the rear drum, the SR offers segment leading braking performance
The large 14-inch wheels look great and come wrapped in sticky tyres by Thai brand Vee Rubber as no one in India currently makes this size. Aprilia is looking at local supplier soon
