Chevrolet is buckling up to strengthen its footing in the Indian market. It is preparing a strong set of artillery of cars to achieve the same. A new Beat-based sub-4m sedan is in the works and will be called the Essentia. GM had showcased the car at the Auto Expo 2016 in concept form. The sub-4m sedan segment has witnessed a lot of activity in recent times and if Chevrolet nails it with the price and features ratio, it can then give the competitive advantage they have been lacking till now. Expect the Chevrolet Essentia to hit our shores somewhere around the start of next year.For the time being, here are some images of the new upcoming Chevrolet sedan.

A simple cluster free layout for the tail lamp adds a sense of neatness to the design

Dual tone beige interiors give a sense of roominess to the Essentia's cabin
Rear seats seem comfortable and supportive. Note colour co-ordinated seatbelts
Decent boot though that beige carpet will be hard to keep clean

Strong shoulder line and large wheel arch help the design to accomodate the boot on the Beat
