Jaguar Land Rover opens a new showroom in Coimbatore
Jaguar Land Rover has opened a showroom in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. A state-of-the-art facility, the showroom is Jaguar Land Rover's second in Tamil Nadu after the first in Chennai.
The dealership has been taken by VST Group. The showroom, located at Oddar Palayam in Ondipudur, Coimbatore will showcase 12 new Jaguar Land Rover cars including the XJ, XF, XKR and the F-Type. The Land Rover line gets the Range Rover Sport, Evoque, Discovery 4, Freelander 2. It is spread over 50,000 sq. ft, with a 10,500 sq. ft. workshop that has 14 bays and is capable of doing body and paint work as well.

Jaguar Land Rover opened their first showroom in India in June 2009 and now has fully operational sales and service facilities in Ahmedabad, Aurangabad, Bengaluru, Coimbatore, Cuttack, Chennai, Delhi, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Kochi, Ludhiana, Mumbai and Pune. That is a network of 19 distribution outlets across 17 cities.
The Range Rover Sport
The two latest offerings from the Jaguar Land Rover in India are Jag's F-Type and Land Rover's Range Rover Sport. The F-Type is powered by either a 3.0-litre V6 petrol that makes 380PS and 460Nm or a 5.0-litre V8 petrol that puts out 495PS and 620Nm. The car is priced starting at Rs 1.37 crore (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The Range Rover Sport on the other hand gets both petrol and diesel options. The diesel rig is a 3.0-litre V6 that is good for 292PS and 600Nm, while the petrol is a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 that is worth 510PS and 625Nm. It is priced starting at Rs 1.09 crore (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
