Kia Seltos hits 5 lakh sales milestone since introduction in 2019
Kia Motors India has reached a significant milestone with the Kia Seltos, their popular SUV. It has sold over 5 lakh units in just 46 months after its launch in August 2019. This accomplishment exemplifies the Seltos' enormous reception and acceptability in the Indian market. Kia Seltos has been vital for Kia Motors India's success. Contributing a sizable 55 percent of the company's net revenues, which comprise both domestic and export sales. This indicates the Seltos' enormous popularity and demand among Indian and international consumers.
According to the firm, 1,35,885 Seltos made in India have been shipped to almost 100 countries. Markets in the Middle East, Africa, Central and South America, Mexico, and the Asia Pacific area are among them.
Kia is currently preparing to offer the Seltos facelift in India. Several improvements will be made to the upgraded model, both inside and exterior. The SUV will also include safety features such as a 360-degree camera with blind spot assistance and ADAS.
The Seltos only comes with a 1.5-litre, inline-four, naturally aspirated petrol engine making 115PS/144Nm and a turbocharged 1.5-litre four-cylinder diesel motor that produces 116PS/250Nm. The former is paired with a six-speed manual or CVT automatic transmission, while the latter comes mated to a new six-speed iMT (intelligent manual transmission) or six-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
