After its nation-wide launch yesterday,  Honda Cars India Limited (HCIL) is all set to launch the new-gen Amaze sedan in Mumbai today. The Amaze is one of the more important launches for the company in recent times and is expected to boost sales for the company in the coming year.

The new Honda Amaze has a revised side profile with a slightly lower roofline, that possibly makes it more aerodynamic. The new Honda Amaze that has been showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo sports a new shade of red that makes it look more premium than the existing shades on offer. The rear profile of the new Honda Amaze retains certain elements but at the same time looks a lot fresher and smarter in appearance.

As we reported in our first drive review, the engines will be the same as before which means the petrol engine will be Honda's 1.2-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine offering 90PS and 110Nm that also powers the Honda Jazz and Brio. The diesel will be the same, 1.5-litre four-cylinder diesel as the City and Jazz. Outputs for the diesel stand at 100PS and 200Nm for the manual and 80PS and 160Nm for the automatic version.

The company has started production of the sedan at the Tapukara plant in Rajasthan. HCIL states that India is an important country for the Japanese car manufacturer as the global launch of the 2018 Amaze happens here. While Honda dealers across the country have already started accepting bookings for the 2018 Amaze, the deliveries will begin shortly after the launch, confirmed an official statement.
