Tata Motors will be launching the facelifted Tigor in India today. This will be a cosmetic update primarily and the mechanicals should continue to be the same as the current iteration. Last month, we broke the news that Tata is working on a minor facelift for the Tigor to keep the consumer interest levels high for its best-selling compact sedan, which competes with the Maruti Suzuki Dzire and Hyundai Xcent. Tata Motors had launched the Tigor sedan in India between Rs 4.7 lakh and Rs 7.09 lakh (ex-Delhi) in 2017. The Tigor is available with both petrol and diesel motors, lifted straight off the Tiago. Both engines are mated to a five-speed manual transmission. Since Tata has recently introduced an AMT in the Tiago, one cannot rule out the possibility of the Tigor getting an AMT, sometime in the future.
