Live updates: 2019 BMW X5 SUV India launch
The 2019 BMW X5 SUV is set to be launched in India today. This is the four-generation of the SUV and will be based on BMW's CLAR architecture. The BMW X5 will be a seven-seater for the first time and will compete with the Audi Q7, Mercedes-Benz GLE and Jaguar F-Pace, among others.

The BMW X5 has been launched in India at Rs 72.9 lakh for the xDrive30d Sport. The xDrive30d xLine and xDrive40i M Sport cost Rs 82.4 lakh, ex-showroom
There will be three variants on offer

The BMW X5 will now also be offered with an air suspension. Active roll stabilization and rear-wheel steering while an off-road pack can also be specified.

Other engines internationally are a 3.0-litre quad-turbo straight-six diesel from the M50d. This engine puts out 400PS and 720Nm. A 4.4-litre V8 motor is also being offered in some markets with the xDrive50i with 465PS and 650Nm
There is a new 12-inch touchscreen system in both the centre console and in the instrument cluster featuring the latest iteration of IDrive.
The new X5 will move to BMW's latest CLAR architecture which debuted with the latest 7-Series and is also found in the 5-Series and the upcoming 3-Series.
