The 2019 Mercedes-AMG C 43 Coupe is set to be launched in India today. This model was first launched here as a sedan in 2016, but with the C-Class' mid-cycle refresh, Mercedes-Benz has decide to offer it in a coupe bodystyle. The C 43 sits in the gap between the C 300d and the full-fat Mercedes-AMG C 63. Consequently, its focus is a combination of traditional Mercedes luxury and AMG aggression and performance.

Mercedes claims a 0-100kmph acceleration figure of 4.7s, and an electronically limited top-speed of 250kmph for the C 43 Coupe.
This is paired with the nine-speed torque converter but with model-specific software. As earlier, the C 43 packs 4MATIC all-wheel-drive, and the system is rear-biased sending up to 69 percent power to the rear axle.
The 3.0-litre twin-turbo petrol motor now makes 390PS, an increase of 23PS over its earlier iteration in the C 43 sedan, and torque stands at 520 Nm.
The interior uses more leather and AMG-specific adornments but is derived from the standard C-Class.
