Royal Enfield is launching the Classic 500 Pegasus edition in India, a limited edition version of its Classic 500 motorcycle. Only 1000 units will be produced with 250 being designated for the Indian market. The limited edition motorcycle has been influenced by the Royal Enfield RE/WD 125 from WWII.
The Classic 500 Pegasus is available in the Service Brown colour and each motorcycle gets a serial number that's stencilled on the tank along with a Pegasus motif. Mechanically the bike remains unchanged from the standard Classic 500. It is powered by a 499 cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine good for 27.5PS and 41.3Nm.
Royal Enfield Classic 500 Pegasus launched in India at Rs 2.49 lakh, on-road Mumbai. The price includes a helmet, the canvas panniers and a Pegasus shirt. Registrations begin today and online bookings commence on June 10, 2018

Each motorcycle gets a unique serial number, reminiscent of the military bike.
The paint scheme and other elements are inspired by the Royal Enfield RE/WD 125 that was used in World War II. The bikes was nicknamed the Flying Flea and were air-dropped behind enemy lines.
The #Classic500Pegasus gets specially designed, period correct, canvas panniers.
The Pegasus Edition is available in two colour options internationally - Service Brown and Olive Drab Green. Indian buyers can only get the brown colour.
Production is limited to 1,000 units out of which 250 motorcycles are earmarked for India
The Classic 500 Pegasus recognizes Royal Enfield’s role in providing vehicles for armed forces since the first World War
