Mahindra Bolero maintains its number one position in the SUV segment

Continuing its reign at the top, Mahindra announced that the Bolero has managed to maintain its number one position in the SUV segment for the ninth consecutive year.

In addition, the company also stated that the Mahindra Bolero is the only SUV to feature in the list of top ten cars in terms of sales. The Bolero is fifth highest selling vehicle in the country, says Mahindra.

Speaking on the milestone, Pravin Shah, president and chief executive, automotive division, Mahindra & Mahindra Limited said, The fact that the Bolero has sold more than 100,000 units in FY2015 and retained its position as the country's number one SUV, signifies the confidence consumers have in the brand. Over the years, the Bolero has evolved with the changing lifestyle aspirations of customers. I am sure that the Bolero will continue to be as popular on Indian roads in the years to come".

The company attributes the success of the Bolero to the SUV's rugged build. The Bolero is powered by a 63PS engine that churns out 195Nm of torque.

Mahindra Bolero retains top spot as India's No 1 SUV for 9th consecutive year


April 13, 2015, Mumbai: Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M Ltd.), India's leading SUV manufacturer, today announced that its flagship Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV), the Bolero has retained its position as India's No 1 SUV for the 9th consecutive year. The iconic tough and rugged SUV is also India's highest selling SUV since FY 2007. For the 4th consecutive year, the Bolero has sold over 1 lac vehicles during FY2015. Further, the Bolero notched up the 5th position among the top selling passenger vehicles in India in FY 2015. What is significant is that the Bolero is the only SUV to feature among the top 10 selling passenger vehicles in India.
