Maruti Suzuki Ertiga CNG launched in India for Rs 8.87 lakh - sells over 61,000 units of current generation

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga fitted with CNG has been launched in India for Rs 8.87 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. The company also announced its cumulative sale over 61,000 units since its launch of the current generation Ertiga in November 2018 - with an average sale figure of 8,000 units a month.

The CNG variant will benefit from the feature of the VXI trim such as a multi-information display, audio system with steering mount controls. The standard safety feature list includes front dual airbags, a speed alert system and reverse parking sensor.

The engine on offer is the same 1.5-litre petrol unit that produces 104PS at 6,000rpm, however, when driven on CNG, the engine tunes itself to offer 92PS for a claimed fuel efficiency of 26.2km/kg. The gearbox on offer is the same 5-speed unit.
