Mercedes-AMG will officially introduce the GT 63 S E Performance in India on April 11, 2023. This is the first hybrid car from Mercedes-performance Benz's division AMG. The sports car will be manufactured in Affalterbach, Germany and will be bought in India via the CBU route.

Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance houses the famous 4.0 litre V8 biturbo engine from AMG, is combined with an electric motor to produce a staggering 855PS and a maximum torque of 1400 Nm. The electric motor itself in the GT 63 S E Performance produces 207PS and 320 Nm of torque.

Mercedes claims that the GT 63 S E Performance will accelerate from a standstill to 100 kmph in 2.9 seconds and will reach 200 kmph in under 10 seconds. The car will top off its speedometer at 316 kmph.

From a design perspective, the GT 63 S E Performance isn't all that different from its sibling the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S 4MATIC+. The four-door coupé's athletic characteristics are highlighted by the expressive design, which includes a low front section, muscular body, squat greenhouse, and dynamic fastback.

The rear apron with integrated plug-in charging flap and the model identifier highlighted in red are unique identifying characteristics. AMG is also integrating outwardly fluted trapezoidal dual exhaust tailpipes with the hybrid. The hybrid drive is indicated by the "E PERFORMANCE" logo on the wings. There is also a new set of 20 and 21-inch light-alloy wheels, each in two colour variants.

The AMG GT 63 S E Performance comes equipped with AMG RIDE CONTROL+ suspension with a new dampening system. The modified AMG ceramic high-performance composite braking system and the MBUX multimedia system with unique hybrid displays are also standard.

The MBUX multimedia system with AMG hybrid-specific displays and functions is standard in the Widescreen Cockpit. The driver will see the electric range, power consumption, output and torque of the electric motor, and battery and electric motor temperatures in the instrument cluster. Exclusive interior leather colours emphasise AMG GT 63 S E Performance sporty or luxury aspect.

The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance directly rivals the Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid super-sedan.
