The new Micra XE diesel gets the same facelift treatment as the rest of its clan (new Micra). This means a chrome plated V-shaped radiator grille, new headlamps, wider air intake and redesigned LED tail lamps. Being the base variant, there are no alloy wheels on offer. Inside, the XE diesel offers manual AC, power steering, follow-me-home headlamps and a driver airbag. It is available in six colours - Olive Green, Turquoise Blue, Blade Silver, Storm White, Onyx Black and Brick Red.
Powering the Micra XE diesel is the tried and tested 65PS 1.5-litre K9K engine which promises a fuel efficiency of 23.08kmpl (ARAI figure). Compared to the new Micra XE diesel, the newly launched Hyundai diesel range starts from Rs 5.23 lakh, ex-Delhi.
Kenichiro Yomura, president of Nissan India Operations & MD & CEO, Nissan Motor India said, "The launch of new Micra range in July received an overwhelming response from our customers. I am confident that the New Micra diesel variant is a good value proposition and a desirable option for Indian customers. We are keen to replicate the success of the existing variants with the diesel-powered XE variant of the New Micra."
