The all-new Elantra in the spy pictures could be globally unveiled by early next year and could be introduced in the Indian market by 2021.

The new car is expected to share its platform with the eight-generation Hyundai Sonata that was showcased at this year's New York International Auto show. The cabin could also see inspirations for them Sonata and expect an all-digital instrument cluster and a larger infotainment system screen.

Engines are expected to be down-sized for the international markets, however, the power figures should see a hike. The Indian spec car will get a diesel variant on offer. The transmission on offer will be a standard manual and an optional automatic.
