This latest entrant into the C-segment comes from the Renault-Nissan stable and looks to take on the likes of the EcoSport, stablemate Duster and Quanto. Aesthetically, the grille, bumpers, tailgate, lamp assemblies and creases have been reworked to give it a 'Nissan' look and not a badge-engineered Duster. Interiors again, share similarities but are mildly differentiable.
The mechanicals are definitely the same on both the Terrano and the Duster. The same two engines make it to the Terrano, the 1.6-litre petrol that delivers 104PS and 145Nm, and the 1.5-litre K9K diesel engine that either makes 85PS and 200Nm or 110PS and 248Nm. These engines can be had with either the 5-speed or 6-speed manual transmission. An automatic Terrano will also be available at a later date.
The variants on the Terrano are XE, XL (1.5 and 1.6 litre petrol), XLplus, XL with 110 PS power, XV and XV Premium. Paintjob options are Graphite Black, Pearl White, Blade Silver, Sterling Grey, Fire Red and Bronze Grey.
