The Cayenne S now borrows the 3.6-litre biturbo V6 petrol engine from the Macan turbo that was launched recently in India on July 23, 2014. The engine is tuned to produce 414PS and 550Nm and makes the Cayenne S quicker, faster, cleaner and more fuel-efficient than the outgoing naturally-aspirated 4.8-litre V8. Compared to the V8's 5.9s 0-100kmph sprint and 258kmph top speed, the new V6 engine pushes the Cayenne S from naught to 100kmph in 5.5s with a top whack of 259kmph. The launch control package manages in the sprint in 5.4s.

The Cayenne turbo uses a 4.8-litre biturbo V8, which puts out 520PS and 750Nm. 0-100kmph comes up in 5.4s (5.3s with launch control) and top whack is claimed at 279kmph.
