Greaves supports communities in its fight against COVID-19

Greaves Cotton, a diversified engineering company and market leader in fuel-agnostic powertrain solutions, is extending all possible support to people affected with COVID-19. As part of this initiative, the company has launched several initiatives to help various communities affected by this pandemic.

In an attempt to support communities, fight against COVID19, Greaves has provided protective face masks, installed power back up Gensets, supported the disinfecting drive in different parts of the country & going to distribute dry ration for needy families. More details on each of these initiatives are given below:

As part of its employee-first policy, apart from work from home drive, the company has distributed masks to its employees & their families in Aurangabad, Coimbatore & Ranipet.

Under "Support the Protectors Program", the Company has also given masks for the Karnataka Police in Bengaluru city. This is to keep the 'Heroes' safe, who are saving our lives and putting themselves in vulnerable situations.

In this COVID-19 crisis, underprivileged children need more support and keeping this in mind, the company has partnered with CRY to provide dry ration to underprivileged kids & their families for a month across Mumbai & Delhi NCR regions.

Supporting the Mechanics – the company is providing health protection tools - hand sanitizer & medical kits across key states, from its YOU CARE, WE CARE program.

From powering critical missions to backing up critical life support systems, Greaves gensets have been used across many locations in the past. During this critical period, with the help of key authorities, the company has installed Gensets in hospitals for quarantine facilities in the state of Maharashtra. This will provide 24x7 power supply to hospital & ease work for COVID warriors - doctors, nurses & other healthcare professionals working here.

In order to provide a safe and clean environment, Greaves has also deployed its 5 HP Diesel engines to spray disinfectant through fire brigade vehicles in Sangli District of Maharashtra. This is in continuance with the usage of Greaves engines for fumigation even in the past.

Helping local bodies & institutions do disinfection of public places with supply of knapsack sprayers. This will be used as a preventive measure in public congregation areas, large establishments, community neighborhoods, municipal corporations, hospitals, and railways all over India.
