Renault Duster Adventure Edition launched in India at Rs 9.64 lakh
Renault India has just launched the Duster Adventure edition at a starting price of Rs 9.64 lakh for the RXE 85 PS version. The Duster Adventure Edition RXL 85 PS is priced at Rs 10.45 lakh while the Duster Adventure Edition RXZ AWD 110 PS version costs Rs 13.77 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom Delhi). Renault showrooms across India are currently accepting bookings for the Duster Adventure Edition. Alternatively, prospective buyers can also download the Renault Duster app from Google Playstore and Apple Store to book their vehicle.
Compared to the regular versions, the Renault Duster Adventure editions get cosmetic upgrades and are expensive by around Rs 18,000 to 21,000. It gets adventure branded side decals along with matte black finish on the wheel arches and door claddings. The front grille gets a shiny black finish while the Duster emblem on the tailgate gets a chrome finish. It comes equipped with yellow roof rails as well.
On the inside, it gets first-in-segment stone washed Denim seat covers which Renault says are removable and washable. There's also black fabric insert on the door trim, leather wrapped steering wheel with mustard yellow stitching and Adventure branding. The ac vents and instrument cluster centre ring get a mustard yellow finish, while the inner door handles get a chrome finish and the floor mats get Adventure branding.
There are no mechanical changes on the Duster Adventure Edition. It retains the 1.5-litre 4-cylinder diesel engine which is offered in two states of tune-85PS and 110PS. The 85PS version makes 200Nm of torque while the 110PS version makes 245Nm of torque. It is available in four colours- pearl white, moonlight silver, outback bronze and slate grey.
Renault India has also introduced the SmartApp which is available on Android and iPhones . The carmaker says that the app comes with pre-set goals in terms of distance, speed and time and offers various safety alerts.
The drop in sales of the regular Duster variants coupled with the lack of buyer interest along with rising sales of the Hyundai Creta, has pushed Renault India to offer all sorts of special offers during the festive season.
