Renault India launch the Limited Edition Duster Explore at Rs 9.99 lakh
Renault India have launched a limited edition version of the Duster and it's called the Duster Explore. Prices start at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-Delhi) for the 85PS version. The Duster Explore is also available in the 110PS version (priced at Rs 11.10 lakh ex-Delhi).
On the outside, the changes are purely cosmetic. A mock front bull-bar with lamp inserts, new hood stripe, striped graphics on the doors and new roof rails add to the butch appearance of the SUV. The alloys are blackened and get orange-coloured surrounds around the Renault Logo and blue stripes on the spokes. The headlamps have a smoked effect and the wing mirrors are blacked out too with a streak of orange bisecting the upper and lower halves.
On the inside the changes are subtle but refreshing. The seats get what Renault calls the Nouveau Orange coloured outlines that match the aircon vent surrounds. The orange theme is carried on to the fabric inserts on the door trims, the floor mats, the stitching on the leather-wrapped steering wheel and the gearshift bellow too. The final dash of orange is visible in the anodised instrument cluster. Overall the bright orange contrasts well with the otherwise black interior of the Duster Explore.
Speaking at the launch of the Limited Edition Duster Explore, Sumit Sawhney, country CEO and managing director, Renault India Operations said, "With Duster, we created a new segment in the Indian automotive industry. Renault India has spruced up the Duster with this Explore version as an interim measure to counter the threat from the recently launched Hyundai Creta and Maruti Suzuki S-Cross. Renault India are set to unveil the 2016 Duster at the upcoming Auto Expo in Delhi.
